MacDonald Story
Item #5023
(November, 1987) Old MacDonald has a farm, and he’s doing his spring plowing and planting. He has sown seven different types of seeds, but the butterfly is concerned because he doesn’t see any flower seeds—only vegetables. He has fluttered near to MacDonald’s ear to whisper, “What about me?” But MacDonald is smiling and saying, “I thought of you. If you look in my satchel, you’ll find sunflower seeds. “Spud, Kernel, Stu and Cris P. are also anxious to know what crops have been planted, and are hoping for a bumper harvest. The coin is from Italy and shows a similar tractor. It’s easy for MacDonald to remember his tractor’s license plate—it’s E I E I O!
